WCAG audit

Full accessibility starts with an audit

Audit WCAG compliance

Are you sure your website is accessible to every user?

A WCAG audit is a professional analysis of your website's compliance with the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. It helps identify barriers that prevent equal access to website content for different user groups.

  • You will find out to what extent your website meets the WCAG 2.1 requirements at level AA.
  • You will receive a clear report containing an analysis of all success criteria, highlighting specific errors and implementation recommendations.
  • Be ready for legal changes – starting in 2025, accessibility requirements will also apply to the private sector.

Who is subject to the WCAG compliance requirement?

Until now, the requirement to meet WCAG guidelines has primarily applied to public institutions – such as government offices, schools, universities, healthcare facilities, and cultural institutions.

In mid-2025, the scope of sectors obligated to follow WCAG guidelines will expand. Specifically, from June 28, 2025, the regulations will also apply to private companies engaged in e-commerce that are not microenterprises. This means that many websites – including commercial ones – will have to comply with digital accessibility standards.

This applies to both products and services across many industries:
  • Products: computers, smartphones, payment terminals, ticket machines, e-book readers, and other self-service devices.
  • Services: online stores, e-service platforms, banking websites, and transactional systems.
FAQ

We have answers to your questions

What is a WCAG audit?

A WCAG audit is a detailed analysis of a website's compliance with international digital accessibility guidelines – WCAG 2.1 (level AA). Its goal is to identify barriers that may hinder users from effectively accessing and navigating the site.

Is a WCAG audit legally required?

Formally – no. However, the audit results provide the foundation for meeting accessibility requirements. Lack of WCAG compliance may lead to legal and financial consequences, especially after the new regulations come into effect.

What will I receive after the audit?

We will provide you with a clear report containing a list of non-compliances. The report can be used as a basis for further action or as an official document confirming the state of compliance.

How long does the audit take?

It depends on the size and complexity of the website. A standard audit usually takes from a few days to about two weeks.

Do you also implement the audit recommendations?

Yes. After completing the audit, we can take over the entire process of implementing the recommendations – from code changes to content and site structure adjustments. You can learn more about our WCAG implementation service here.
Don’t take risks where you don’t have to!

What are the consequences of non-compliance with WCAG?

Non-compliance with WCAG guidelines can have serious consequences – legal, financial, and reputational.

Under upcoming regulations, businesses (excluding microenterprises) will be required to ensure digital accessibility. Failing to meet these requirements may result in financial penalties – from €5,000 to €20,000 – and cumulative fines in cases of repeated violations.

But it's not just about regulations. An inaccessible website excludes certain users, limits your reach, damages your brand image, and can lead to lost customers. A WCAG audit helps identify risks early – before they are flagged by a regulatory body.
